CharlotteCharlotte Kirkham BA hons (UCL), MA (Queen's Belfast)

Charlotte was born on a pedigree Holstein dairy farm, where she spent hours as a child painting and drawing the animals and plants by which she was surrounded. She was encouraged in this by her grandmother's, both keen artists themselves. Her family history includes commercial artists, farmers, architects and designers, theatre performers, a Cambridge Professor and fellow of the Royal Geographical society, alcoholic wastrels, entrepreneurs, a saint, a Jerusalem Princess, and the Kings of France along with the High Kings of Ireland.

She studied as an affiliate at the Slade School of Fine Art in London, and was a member of the Belfast Print Workshop while studying in Belfast. She is now resident in Jerusalem, Israel.

Charlotte works primarily in acrylics and print. Her works range in media and style, she has work in many private collections and is sometimes available for commissions. To view upcoming and previous exhibition experience click here .

Charlotte's main areas of interest are human portraiture, paintings of pedigree Holstein Cows, animals and floral representations. Her inspirations, unsurprisingly, include nature, literature and religion.

From a child the paintings and poetry of the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood inspired, a fact made more remarkable by the recent discovery that her childhood home, the family home since the middle of the last century, was built in 1829 by a family who became avid collectors of the same.
