She studied as an affiliate at the Slade School of Fine Art in London, and was a member of the Belfast Print Workshop while studying in Belfast. She is now resident in Jerusalem, Israel. Charlotte works primarily in acrylics and print. Her works range in media and style, she has work in many private collections and is sometimes available for commissions. She has experience in exhibition set up and curation, most recently for the ‘Our Mutual Friend’ exhibition at the Dickens museum London, for which she also produced podcasts (www.qub.ac.uk/our_mutual_friend). She has experience of displaying pictures for sale in Bonham’s, Knightsbridge, London. She has worked on theatrical costumes for the Bloomsbury theatre production of 'Richard III' (2003) and the Garage Theatre (London) production of 'Blood Wedding' (2003). Her most recent set was for the the Bnai Brith foundation production of 'Blood Brothers', Jerusalem (2007). Charlotte's main areas of interest are human portraiture, paintings of pedigree Holstein Cows, animals and floral representations. Her inspirations, unsurprisingly, include nature, literature and religion. From a child the paintings and poetry of the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood inspired, a fact made more remarkable by the recent discovery that her childhood home, the family home since the middle of the last century, was built in 1829 by a family who became avid collectors of the same. Previous commissions include CFPT photography 2006, HALO! Magazine, NMR, and private collections. Exhibitions have been held in St. Swithins Church (July 2006), Barston Insitute (1996, 2006), Woburn Square (London) (2005), Ashwell House(London) (2007), Belfast Print Workshops (2007).
